How obscure is Romans 1

A couple of days ago I heard Barrack Hussein Obama say that he is opposed to gay marriage, but he is for civil unions, and that gays should not be “discriminated against”. He felt people should consider the Sermon on the Mount, and not some “obscure passage” in Romans. I had to think about it for a couple of days, before I could blog on this absurdity. If you want to know if someone is a true dyed in the wool Christian, the best litmus test is how that person views the Word of God. Liberals always betray themselves because they pick and choose which parts of the Bible they believe are genuine words of God. So, those people who are of the tree hugger persuasion pick verses that deal with “tending the garden”, those who are into ridding the planet of poverty, look for verses that tell us to “feed the poor”, those who want us to accept gay marriage, and gay rights, look for the “love thy neighbor” passages. But for the true Christian, every dotted ‘I’ and every crossed ‘T’ from cover to cover is the Word of God.

Now as to the obscure passage in Romans, I think Mr. Barrack Hussein Obama is talking about the first chapter of the book of Romans; the opening shot across the bow of sin delivered by God through the pen of Paul the Apostle, which is not only a direct hit against homosexuality, but states it to be a judgment call because they rejected God. Now the last time I checked the Apostle Paul wrote two thirds of the New Testament; how the first chapter of Romans becomes obscure escapes me.  The lesson for the right; don’t buy the lie of the left that they are evangelicals; it is only a ploy to get our vote.

Invaded by the Left?

Sometimes when an enemy wants to defeat it's foe, it plants spies inside the ranks of it's enemies to spy out their liberty and do what ever it can to destroy from within. I wonder how many of these McCain nay-sayers, whose comments are everywhere, are leftist disguised as disgruntle conservatives and are yanking our chains with their rhetoric. After all, what is more important in this election, to go with Ann Coulter, who in my opinion typifies the pundits folly; for the pundit thinks, no, believes he can speak as an authority, which is his folly. So do we follow Ms. Coulter down the drain and vote for a true leftist, either Clinton or Obama, and willingly  turn the cess pool that our country has become into an artesian well of filth?  Or do  we prevent this by voting for the "conservative" who may be somewhat liberal,  but,  never-the-less, way  to the right of his opponents.  Is it better to have all of nothing or some of something? reading the opinion articles and then checking out the comments posted I have come to believe most of these "I'll never vote for McCain" comments are from leftist who are disguised as conservatives and their main purpose is to sow discord.

As for Dr. Dobson, I know he is a conservative, albeit misguided, and he is acting somewhat hypocritical on this because he sends out a clarion call for Evangelicals to stand up for the unborn, to be proactive with regards to the state of our nation and then says he will sit out the election if McCain is the nominee.  What's up with that?

What is wrong with this picture??????

Some conservatives, who think of themselves as ultra conservative, are willing, because of their hatred for John McCain, to give the White House to liberals.  I am no McCain lover, but one thing I know, his rating is 85% conservative and Obama was voted the number one liberal in the country, and Hillery is only slightly to the right of Obama. So what is wrong with this picture? Are we so stupid, or filled with hatred that we can not see the hand writing on the wall? The cess pool that America has become because of liberals, will become an artisian well of filth when they are in control.

Conservative Talk Show gods

I am a dyed in the wool, true conservative, even more; I am a far right conservative. I am an Evangelical Christian, and what I believe does color how I vote and who I vote for. I attempt to live by the book, (that is the Bible).  I am not ashamed to admit that because the testimony of the Lord is sure, making the simple wise. As I observe our political process I do not cease to be amazed at the number of people who attempt to usurp God’s power and put into the White House who they think should be there.

I listen to Hugh Hewitt and Laura Ingraham and a number of other conservative talk show hosts and I am convinced they are ruining their own popularity because they have begun to look like the liberals, who try to control how everyone thinks.  At one time I listened to Michael Savage; until he started sounding so insane I had to turn him off. His ranting and raving and Bush bashing got to be too much.  I also would get up early (California time) to listen to Bill Bennett because I liked his show so much, but the Harriet Myers bashing and the Dubai Ports deal  were so nauseating I got totally turned off.  I have never been a big fan of Hush Hewitt or Laura Ingraham, or Shawn Hannity mainly because they each exude an arrogance I can tolerate only for so long. However they each are leading the way in the fight against anyone running against who they believe should be president. Hewitt went after Mike Huckabee with a vengeance when he won Iowa, Then when things changed in New Hampshire he dropped his violent attempts to crush Huckabee and shifted his attack to John McCain, because he is obvious in his attempts to play God; by bad mouthing Mitt Romney’s opponents he believes he can effect the outcome of the November elections.

Since John McCain won in Florida, Laura Ingraham has been on a one woman crusade to destroy him just as she did with Harriett Myers.  Then there is Rush who since I do not listen to him I can not write about him, except to say I have heard he also is out to destroy John McCain. As for Dennis Prager He and Michael Medved are the only two who seem to be somewhat equitable in dealing with all the candidates.  Mr. Prager clearly does not like McCain on several issues, but at least acknowledges that you must look at his whole record and not judge him on a handful of key issues. Michael Medved likes McCain, he does not push McCain, but does defends him against unfair attacks and he tries to be fair to the all the other candidates.

Now, I said all this to say that I am no McCain lover; I voted against him in 2000 and have no qualms about admitting that.  But this is another day, and I am sick of Washington gridlock. In the past 7 years our legislative branch has hardly done enough to boast about, primarily because of the partisan infighting.  John McCain has reached across the aisle and while I do not agree with him on immigration as it was presented to the people in 2006, the people’s voices were loud enough to table that bill and kill it permanently, now he says he has heard the peoples voice, I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. As far as campaign finance is concerned John McCain attempted to do something to stop graft and corruption, it did not work, it backfired, but he tried.  And then there is the not voting for the Bush tax cuts issue. I remember him not voting for those, I drew the conclusion that he would be Bush’s nemesis for the whole of his presidency and that he did that to spite the president I was blinded by my support for the president.  I also remember him saying at the time that he would not agree to tax cuts unless there were spending caps. But still I did not like McCain at that time and so I drew the conclusion that best fit my agenda; he must  have be doing that out of spite. Lastly he recently said he thought we should be able to re-import drugs from Canada.  Dennis Prager hates that idea, because he feels the best medicines come from the American drug company’s ability to do research, and invent better drugs. Well I have a bone to pick with that, Last year I went to France on vacation, I had saved and planned for that trip for two years, and of course American Airlines lost my luggage for 4 days; I am a heart patient and all my meds were in my luggage. Subsequently I had to find a pharmacy in France to give me the drugs without a prescription.  My hotel wrote a note to the local pharmacist and explained my situation. I was able to get all three heart medications with out a problem; however, what stood out the most was the cost. That medicine in America would have cost me $300.00 for a 90 day supply, I was astonished to find that I only had to pay 25 euros for the same amount of medicine which converts to about $40.00. Every medication I take cures one thing and causes another problem.  When the drug companies can produce drugs that do not produce other complications, and can reduce the cost somewhat then I will side with Dennis Prager, but until that time I also, being a senior now retired and living on a fixed income, would love it if we could pay the prices the Canadians pay.

I am writing all this from the standpoint of a common citizen, without any powers of persuasion, or a platform to present an agenda, I urge my fellow Republicans to consider whether they want Hillary Clinton, (with Bill we get a twofer), or Barrack Obama, who leans so far to the left he would slide off the edge if the earth were flat, in the White House for the next 4 to 8 years, or on the chance that McCain is our candidate, John McCain who sometimes goes in a different direction but for the bulk of his time in office has been a pretty good conservative.  Our culture which is now a sink hole would become a cesspool. Every liberal idea would take root and grow exponentially so that no resemblance of the United States as the founders saw it would remain.

Claiming to Be Wise They Have Become Fools

I have been awol for a while but after reading Michael Medved's blog today I could not stay away any longer. Michael's column titled Gloom-and- Doomers Wrong on US "Moral Collapse" is the longest, most verbose bit of dribble I have ever read in my life. I am no fan of Pat Buchanan but John Mac Arthur is my Pastor and a very brilliant Theologian, and when he speaks I tend to listen. He is not a man who seeks public acceptance, nor is he interested in being politically correct,  he knows the Scripture and has a tendency to tell it like it is regardless of who likes or dislikes it, he is a straight shooter.  Scripture  says of men like Michael, "A natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised" 1 Corinthians 2:14.  Michael's article proves the Scripture written by the Apostle Peter  to be accurate,   who wrote "Know this first of all, that in the last days mockers will come with their mocking, following after their own lust, and saying "where is the promise of His coming? for ever since the fathers fell asleep, all continues just as it was from the beginning of creation". For when they maintain this, it escapes their notice that by the word of God the heavens and earth was formed out of water and by water, through which the world at that time was destroyed, being flooded with water". 2nd Peter 3:3.  Poor Michael will he  still be spouting dribble when the day of the Lord comes because he has set himself up above the wisdom of God and is a mocker just as it is written of him?  Make no mistake about it, "The day of the Lord will come like a thief in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat and the earth and it's works will be burned up."2nd Peter 3:10, For the unbelievers like Michael Medved and any in that category, just because you don't believe in a thing does not change the fact of it's existence. Your unbelief will not exempt you from God's wrath that will be visited on the ungodly of this world.

Political Correctness will be our Downfall

After 9/11 I saw Palestinians dancing in the streets.   After Daniel Pearlman was beheaded the Pakistanis cheered.  Zarqawi beheaded Americans and Iraqis cheered.  Poll after poll shows 70-80% of Muslims think Bin Laden is a hero. The Muslims refuse to assimilate in France and they burn the country down because they have no jobs, a series of cartoons are published and all over the world Muslims riot, burn and pillage while at the same time they burn our flag, and publish hateful cartoons against Christians and Jews.  Hezbollah starts a war and Israel is blamed for it and Hezbollah gains in popularity among the Lebanese.  Have we missed the handwriting on the wall? It seems pretty clear to me.  If there are moderate Muslims, they seem few and far between. While we fiddle Rome is burning.  Please My fellow Americans, wake up and stop with the political correctness. Call a spade a spade. As for those in the hate America crowd, I have a suggestion. Why don't we put you on the front line so you can talk to the terrorist.

The land I grew up in

Once upon a time there was a nation whose God was the Lord. It was a happy nation founded on the principals of Christianity. It grew and prospered and became a mighty land. God blessed it to become the most influential nation in the history of the world. Its military was in a class by its self, its wealth was not equalled in any other nation. 95 % of the technology in use in the world came from the great minds of this nation. Although this nation did not have a state mandated religion, Christianity was the national religion. This nation worshipped the true God, and He honored that worship, blessing it beyond all the nations on the earth. The nation languished in its prosperity, might and influence and while it slept decay crept into its midst. Freedom, the hallmark of this nation permitted the entry of idolatrous religions, freedom permitted sensuality to become the national pastime, freedom allowed marriage to be redefined, and murder in the womb abounded. Things done in secret were now done in the open. Things that were shameful were now touted as the "right to choose". What was bad became good and good became bad. That nation is America, our moral compass is broken, we are immersed in a cesspool of depravity. The goats are on the left, the sheep are on the right; if allowed,  the goats will trample down all the pasture and the sheep will be found no more. Pray for a great awakening.

Iran won this round

I just read on FOX news web site that the Security Council permanent 5 has given Iran until the end of August to stop Uranium enrichment.  What is wrong with this picture? Was it not just a couple months ago that they were given a short time to reply to a list of edicts, and they created this Hizbollah mess Israel is in the middle of now to defer that deadline. Now the feckless 5 have given them yet another deadline.  Am I missing something here or is Iran stringing the world along. Where is the president who stood on top of that heap at ground zero and with great courage and conviction promised to obliterate the terrorist where ever they were. How much diplomacy does it take to convince America that talk is cheap? Has the President bought the lie that he is a lame duck?

Where are the Righteous Judges

2 Chronicles 19:6
He said to the judges, "Consider what you are doing, for you do not judge for man but for the LORD who is with you when you render judgment.
Deuteronomy 16:18
"You shall appoint for yourself judges and officers in all your towns which the LORD your God is giving you, according to your tribes, and they shall judge the people with righteous judgment.

Our judicial system is broken! Where are the judges who understand that they hold a position demanding right thinking about the law?  Instead of righteous judges we have judges who legislate from the bench; passing down laws that incur the wrath of God against the nation. One will say "not every one believes as you do", I would say, the truth is not rendered invalid because I do not believe it to be truth.  O judges, do you not know that you will answer to the judge of all the earth? You lay on the people burdens that you yourselves will not carry.  Let us take steps to remove the unrighteous judges from the bench. Research the candidates for the bench the next time you vote, remove the ones who have a record of poor judgements and replace them with righteous men and women. This is the only way to negate the curse they bring on the land.
